The best thing about this model is that it can be easily folded and stored away when not in use, thus being perfect for those that live in cramped spaces. However, this is a basic model and doesn’t come with any fancy features, but just the necessary ones to make for an effective and comfortable workout.

Ease of Use and Comfort

The 15-0200 InTone model by Stamina comes with a thickly padded seat and seat back to allow users to exercise without putting any strain on their backs. Also, the seat and seat back can be easily adjusted to accommodate to the user’s body shape and height. The tension knob is also well within reach so you will be able to adjust the resistance level to increase or decrease difficulty without interrupting your workout.

This model comes in in a reclined position, with handlebars located on both sides of the seat to allow easy and safe mount and dismount. Being that the recumbent bike doesn’t come with a big monitor and handlebars blocking the view, the user will be able to enjoy of a movie or watch the kids while exercising, which is a nice advantage over other models.

The InTone is extremely easy to use and a very simplistic recumbent bike. The large LCD monitor clearly displays the readout and can easily be scanned through with the use of a single button. The InTone folds with the release of a single pin and can be transported from room to room with minimal effort by using the pre-installed front wheels. With no fancy gizmos or gadgets the rider simply gets on and starts pedaling, leaving little room for confusion on how to use this particular model. This simplistic style of this bike makes it perfect for a new rider or for the elderly.

Features and Specifications

  • Resistance Type: Magnetic
  • Resistance Levels: 8
  • Maximum Capacity: 250lbs
  • Product Dimensions: 41 x 21 x 40
  • Product Weight: 52lbs

This model comes with a clear monitor located close to the pedal, displaying fitness data such as time, distance, speed, and calories burned. Its 8 levels of magnetic resistance can be easily adjusted by turning the tension knob. Now 8 levels is enough resistance for the novice user to gradually increase as he/she builds endurance, and at the highest level it will still offer enough resistance to make for a challenging workout.LCD Monitor

This model’s side mounted handlebars, apart from making mounting and dismounting easier, are designed to keep the user’s view clear, thus allowing you to engage in other activities such as watching TV while working out. Additionally, its magnetic resistance makes it extremely quiet, which can certainly add to make exercising a more enjoyable activity.

The bike comes with a 250 pounds of maximum capacity, which is the same offered by its same-price, non-foldable counterpart Stamina 1350, and certainly more than what you will get from the Sunny Foldable.

The InTone comes with a solid steel frame construction, which makes it quite sturdy for such a low price, and slide proof food pads to make pedaling safer. Lastly, this recumbent bike can be easily folded by just pulling a knob and stored away in a closet or under the bed.

Assembly and parts

This model comes semi-assembled and requires just minimal effort by the end user to finish assembly at home. It comes with a very clearly written instruction manual as well as all the tools needed to properly complete the assembly. Personally, I’m usually clumsy when it comes to putting things together, but I found the instruction manual to be quite clear, so it took me just 30 minutes to have the bike ready to go.

Surprisingly for such an affordable model, this bike doesn’t seem to come with a great deal of drawbacks, though some users have complained that the seat can get uncomfortable, especially when exercising for long periods of time, however some have fixed the problem by adding a cushion.

Another point worth commenting is that the InTone is not appropriate for people over six feet tall, as they might be too uncomfortable pedaling with their legs bent for long.

Folded Bike

The Stamina InTone is the ideal recumbent bike for any person who cannot run or walk long distances, who suffers from arthritis, recovering from surgery or with bad joints. It is extremely easy to get on and off of it, making it the ideal model for anyone suffering from leg problems or the elderly. It is also extremely quiet when in use, constructed with a solid steel frame and built with padded hand grips and an extra padded seat and back rest. This model certainly provides a great deal of comfort to the rider and is extremely easy to use.

However, this model is not recommended for those who are looking for a serious workout or for the active cyclist. The InTone does not come with pre-programmed workouts and its resistance settings will not offer enough challenge for the advanced user. If you are a serious cyclist, workout enthusiast, or a larger person this is not the bike for you and it is suggested that you look for more advanced models such as the Nautilus R614 or the Schwinn 230, which aren’t so pricey and still manage to offer a good number of workout programs and resistance levels.

On the flip side of the coin, if you are looking for an in home exercise bike that offers a moderate level workout for your legs this is a great machine. It is certainly reasonably priced, built to last and the folding design also makes it ideal for those who many not have a lot of space or who wish to store it away when not in use to keep it out of their way.

Overall, we would recommend the InTone, but only to a select clientele. This bike is built to last and comes with a one year warranty which makes it even more appealing to the end user. If you are looking for a compact, easy to use model that offers a moderate workout, then this is the right bike for you. However, if you are looking for a model which will challenge you, provide a difficult workout, or which has a plethora of feature, this bike should be avoided.
